# A home for Personal Digital Embassy

I launched [pde.network](https://pde.network/), a public introduction to Personal Digital Embassy (PDE): infrastructure I am developing to let AI applications access a person's digital resources through actions the person chooses.

## Your resources, your choices

AI could help with email, calendars, messages, websites or finances. To do that, it needs access to those resources. I want a person to be able to decide which actions an assistant may request and which limits apply.

A Desk is an application for a resource. It may run on your phone or computer, holds the resource credentials in its environment, and enforces access policies. An unavailable Desk cannot execute new requests through itself; an action already started may still complete. The banking example on the new site illustrates the level of control I am aiming for, not an available banking integration.

## From my own use to a new version

In my personal PDE v1 setup, I use ChatGPT to manage DNS for my Porkbun domains and run my Telegram channels. This is my own experience, not proof of general availability. PDE v3 protocols and code are under development; v1 experience does not establish v3 readiness.

I am preparing a Gate for early testers; access is not yet open. I can discuss paid help deploying a similar setup on your VPS or creating or adapting a Desk. Scope, availability, and price are agreed individually.

## A site for people and their AI assistants

The site is in English and its primary content is Markdown. You can share a page with your own AI assistant and ask it to explain the ideas in your language and at your level of experience. I developed the site and PDE with AI agents under my direction.
