Browser as an Operating System for Developing Modern Applications
This published edition is in Russian. It presents the browser as the personal operating environment of the internet: where web applications, people, networks, and devices meet.
The browser as an internet workspace
A browser does much more than display pages. It executes application code, works with networks and stored data, reaches device capabilities, and enforces the conditions under which an application may act.
The book follows a web application through that environment: how it appears when a page opens, changes state, communicates, preserves data, and remains meaningful to the person using it.
One subject, seen from several angles
The book returns to the same subject several times. Each pass makes the picture more concrete while keeping the whole in view.
- Environment. Internet, browser, page, application, state, and events find their place in one picture.
- Structure. Execution, interaction, data, networking, access, protection, and observability become recognisable parts of one system.
- Operation. Isolation, storage, processes, lifecycles, and background work explain how application behaviour is sustained.
- Presence. Profiles, extensions, devices, and retained state connect browser behaviour with a person’s everyday digital life.
Reading in sequence lets these connections become familiar without treating the book as a checklist of technologies.

Where it comes from
The book grows out of more than twenty-five years of work with web applications, PWAs, and platform components. It is an attempt to make a coherent model of the browser explicit.
